Menthol and Other Flavors

TFLC is working to provide information regarding health effects of tobacco and vapor products, risks of menthol and flavored products, and Nebraska Tobacco Quitline and other cessation resources across our community. This includes educating the community and policymakers on the impact of flavored tobacco advertising and point-of-sale marketing as it relates to menthol and flavored tobacco products, sharing information schools including post-secondary institutions, and working with youth and young adults to advocate for change through social media and other innovative strategies.

Community Education

TFLC partnered with Lincoln Public Schools to create a vaping prevention campaign for middle and high school students in our community. Eye-catching images, thoughts to consider, and facts about vaping have been placed on bathroom mirrors throughout the district. We want anyone that has vaped to know it’s an addiction and we are here to help.
